It shouldn't be this hard.
You’re a smart, competent adult. You’ve been successful in lots of other things. But this one thing eludes you.
You may be wondering whether there’s just something wrong with your brain, your body, or your metabolism.
Dieting clearly doesn't work.
Diet culture is on the ropes. As it should be.
But now the pendulum has swung so far in the other direction that talking about weight loss has become almost taboo.
We’re supposed to accept ourselves the way we are and focus on being healthy.
But deep down you know you'd be healthier and feel better if you could shed some excess weight...and keep it off.
So, if dieting doesn't work, what does?
Abandoning the toxic diet culture does not mean you have to give up on weighing less. We've helped hundreds of people just like you crack this code--and we'd love to help you.
As a physician who has always struggled with my own weight, I've tried many approaches over the years, and the Weighless program has been the most successful and has simply made the most sense, based on the way the body and the mind work.
To be healthier, we have to change a lifetime of habits. Monica and Brock give us actionable steps, one at a time, that help us feel better about living better. This led to changes in my behaviors that I now want to continue, rather than looking forward to the end of self-deprivation. I couldn't be happier with my own progress this year or the road ahead: slow weight loss--the best kind--and feeling good about myself.
Monica has been helping people create healthier lives for more than 15 years through her Nutrition Diva podcast, books, online coaching programs and in-person workshops. As a licensed and board-certified nutritionist, her approach is grounded in science but is also practical and realistic. Monica is also a former professional opera singer.
Brock is a fitness coach with more than a decade of experience working with people of all fitness levels to increase their ability to enjoy life to the fullest. Through his Second Wind Fitness podcast he teaches that the real value of fitness is rooted in the basics of daily movement itself, not in how much weight you lift or how far you run. Brock is also a CBT practitioner and former professional ballet dancer.

I am amazed at how much the Weighless program has affected my thinking. In my diet mindset, I had to find the perfect time to "start" a diet....there could not be a wedding, party, or holiday around the corner. I now see that life is full of special occasions and you need to learn to navigate them and take them in stride. I can't say enough good things about my new attitude.

I will never go back to a diet again! Thank you for helping me change my life for the better.
I don't eat meat (or dairy or wheat or whatever). Will I be able to follow the program?
Yes, definitely! The Weighless approach accommodates any and all dietary preferences, restrictions, and requirements. There are no required or forbidden foods and no one-size-fits-all dogma. We believe there are many ways to put together a healthy and nutritious diet. Our goal is to help you discover what works best for your body, metabolism, lifestyle, and preferences.
Will we get meal plans?
No, Weighless doesn’t set meal plans - and we promise this is good news! For one thing, prescribed meal plans are often inconvenient and unnecessarily rigid. For another, we believe that relying on an outside authority to tell you what to eat ultimately undermines your ability to know what, when, and how much to eat. Instead, we’ll help you develop the skills and confidence to make information- and value-based choices in a variety of situations and environments.
Does the program include exercise?
You can certainly exercise during the Weighless program, if that is something you enjoy. But we are going to focus on the other 23.5 hours of the day, after you cross “30 minutes of exercise” off your to-do list. You are going to learn to build more natural movement into your daily routines and increase your fitness all day long, without ever necessarily breaking a sweat.
Does the program provide one-on-one coaching?
Weighless provides individual attention in a group-coaching environment. We have found this to be far more effective than one-on-one coaching - because our private community becomes a powerful support for each member and a coach in its own right. The Weighless community is open only to current program participants and is grounded in mutual respect and consideration. If an unusually sensitive issue comes up, you can also reach us privately by email
How much time will the program take each week?
Plan to spend 30 - 45 minutes a week reading or listening to each week’s material and another 30 - 45 minutes on suggested activities or assignments. You can spend as much or as little time as you like interacting with us and your fellow members in the Weighless community. Once or twice a month, we will offer live videocasts and/or conference calls where you can ask your questions in real time. These will be recorded.
What does it cost?
The Weighless program is $1200 for the entire year, which includes weekly lessons, monthly coaching sessions, and daily support via our private online member forum. Payment plans are also available.
Are program fees covered by insurance?
If your doctor recommends weight loss to prevent or treat a medical condition, including arthritis, acid reflux, PCOS, Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity, a nutritionist-guided weight management program such as Weighless may be eligible for coverage or reimbursement through your health insurance or tax-advantaged plan (such as an MSA, HSA or FSA).
Eligibility and requirements vary with each plan, so you'd want to double-check with your account administrator to confirm coverage and eligibility. But as a general rule, you will need your doctor to write you a Letter of Medical Necessity (LOMN) to qualify.
Will I have to buy anything else?
Other than a digital scale (for you, not your food!) there are no special foods, supplements, kitchen or exercise equipment required to participate. If you do not own one, you can purchase a basic scale for less than $20.
Do I need to be on Facebook?
No! Our member forum is completely private and secure, hosted on our membership site.
